Autumn term is upon us and WE ARE BACK!! We are delighted to be singing together again, and with all our regulations and protocol in place, we are SO happy to be back to what we know and love.
So what’s new at CCC? What have we been up to over the last few weeks? Great question!
Charlton Kings Choirs
First, in September we launched two wonderful new choirs. At our first sessions we met nearly 30 new faces, who have formed the Charlton Kings branches of Little Lyrics and Vocalise. We meet on a Friday evening at Holy Apostles Church and these fab singers are already working towards their festive performances! Here they are…

Singing Exam Success
Back in Leckhampton, we have three great groups, all doing amazing things. I have to take a minute to shout about some fabulous achievements from the summer term. Some of our Choir members also choose to have singing lessons with our in-house singing teacher. This summer, they took their Grade 1 singing exams and all passed with flying colours!! We celebrated their amazing efforts in a presentation ceremony…
Cheltenham Children’s Choir CIC
Some great news – the Children’s Choir is now a registered Community Interest Company! This might sound like gobble-di-gook, but what it DOES mean, is that we are now eligible to apply for funding for concerts, events, musical activities and equipment for the children, to further extend their musical experiences and opportunities. Simple things, such as now being exempt from having to pay for a licence to go carol singing (hooray!), will mean that the children will be experiencing more and more in the future!!
Half Term Highlights
Over half term, we set the children a ‘half term home videos’ task – what songs are you performing at home? What songs are you singing to your dog? Share them! Here are some of our favourites…
What’s Next?
We are SO looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend as we continue rehearsing our fab Autumn term music. Not long now until our Christmas Concerts and a live audience, with mums, dads and lots of applause, smiles and cheer! There will be singing, glitter and even some kazoos…
